Hey all.

Been a damn long time since I've posted here!

Anywho, last week Windows decided it needed to do an update (1903 or something I believe).

Upon doing the update and restarting, I was greeted with no Wifi or Bluetooth. And I mean nothing, like the hardware doesn't exist. All the options to turn on or off Wifi/Bluetooth were gone. Neither were even showing up in Device Manager. No Wifi option at all in network manager, although Ethernet is still showing up.

I've tried every damn troubleshooting guide Google will provide me with, which varied from CMD Line commands, to removing and reinstalling drivers and making edits to the registry. Nothing works!

I did get the hardware to show in Device Manager by showing 'Hidden' hardware, they were both showing as Code 10 though. I then decided to uninstall the drivers from within Device Manager, with the thought that WIndows may pick them back up after a reboot.... nope! Now they're completely gone, even when showing hidden hardware. As i said earlier, it's like the hardware doesn't exist... but it does.

I attempted to do a rollback of the update, but once I restarted I discovered that the updates were still listed and now when I try to uninstall them, it throws up an error.

I've gone through the bios to see if something had changed within there, but the crappy motherboard that comes with the Acer Predator G3 desktops (I know, i know...) is so stripped back, the bios doesn't even have settings for Bluetooth or Wifi... and worst part is, besides the PCI-E slot that the video card is in, there aren't any other slots on the board AT ALL... so getting a seperate Wifi card isn't an option either. :|

(By the way, the Wifi is Intel based and I've tried the recommended PRO Set drivers for my board with no luck)

Any help would be appareciated before I decide to peg the thing out the window. :)

Unfortunately no. I'm wondering if a repair install might help, im just not sure it's going to undo what the update has done.

I got a weird thing after the update

The volume slider moves up by itself

edit: its not the sound. other things are moving on their own like there is a key stuck on the keyboard. .(but there isnt)

Pretty bizarre huh? I just installed the same update on my laptop.... no issues, well that I've found so far.
