windows update last nite

did windows updating scare the crap out of any1 else this morning, i turn my monitor on to find a black screen with 'instert boot disc blah blah' message on screen.

immediately think ****. after cheking bios etc, i found that the update had changed my boot hdd to the default master, ive got 3 ( 2 as storage) so after going through each hdd trying to boot i got it on the 3rd hdd

and since im posting rather than make a new thread, in IE7 when you open a new tab is there anyway to make it load your homepage straight away rather than the blank page and me having to hit the 'home' button?

For the IE7 tab issue goto Internet options and on the general tab click the "settings" button opposite "tabs" and tick the option "open homepage for new tabs instead of a blank page"

ditch IE and use firefox, install adblock plus and use the 'easylist' subscription


the internet is #### and full of ads without doing this.
