My machine has been offline for 7 months until a week or so ago, and obviously had a whole load of updating to do from the Windows update site. It seems to have sorted itself out but for two updates, which it keeps downloading and installing, then telling me I need to download and install again 10 seconds later. The two in question are:
MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (925672)
MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978)
I've tried express and custom update, and each time it says successfully updated, then immediately tells me I'm missing updates and shows me the above again. Each time I shut the machine down it says it'll install them before it shuts down, which it does then when I turn back on it says they need installing again.
It's leaving junk folders on my hard drive with each 'failed' installation and it's beginning to get on my nerves!
Any ideas?
