windows update question?

hi

tonight i turned my pc on to notice nod32 warning me that windows is out of date and needs updating via windows update.

now windows update checks for updates everyday on my pc and it had checked earlier today but tonight when i got this message and done a manuel check for updates i got about 15 updates to download!

all security updates for windows 7, net.framework 4 and so on.

is it normal for microsoft to release a huge amount of security updates all at once like this as this happened once before?

Most days i just get definition updates for windows defender and perhaps the odd security update.

Yes. It's my big gripe with i.e.

Ms will identify then patch a hole, but withhold it until the weekly update comes around. If there's a lot of things being down together then it can be longer (iirc 28 days max) where ff/chrome will release the fix asap.

Anyway, it's update day so say hello to holes your pc has had for at least a week :)
