Windows Update

Trying to update windows but keeps saying some updates could not be installed.....?

Tryed Windows Live Messenger for the Sign in Assistant & Messenger but says installation is unsucessful...

Been through the HELP pages & i have plenty of HD space & the firewall is set to accept the Live Messenger,

What else can be wrong? What can i do?

This is an obvious one but check that the date and time are correct on your machine. This has caught a few people out before!

No dont get any error messages just says installation unsucessful... please try again later, then it give me the option to go to the windows help page & gives me possible reasons why it wont install, & the only one i seem to be the prob is a problem with windows update site itself.

copy that lot into notepad, and save it as 'windows udpate fixer.bat' then double click the .bat file

So will this fix the prob with install LIVE messenger?

Whats pidgin can u add contacts from MSN/yahoo to it?
