Hi guys. I'm running a fresh version of vista x64. Did fresh install of basic, then I did a manual download of SP1, then I installed my home premium upgrade CD. And today I turn on and suddenly I can't install upgrade. It will download to 11% and fail. Some pics:

Can anyone help? I don't want to have to try and reinstall vista again :(

Ah you misunderstand. I have SP1 installed. I installed it yesterday manually in order to get my premium upgrade installed. But it's these new updates it's telling me of that I can't install.

Since you don't know it, suggests you haven't used it. :p

It is a tool that allows you to "remove" parts of Vista by working on a copy of your Vista DVD (to HDD) and then allows you to config Vista before "rebuilding" Vista and installing Vista from that edited ISO you create.

Looked at those instructions of original link. I can't find a pending.xml file. The windows update reinstall reinstalls but the result is the same :(

I notice a hidden file in the sxs folder which is called poqexec which coincidently has a couple of entries in it:
1c99f4262200492: 0, 0, 0, 0, StartTime ;
1c99f4286535918: 0, 0, 0, 0, EndTime ;

dunno if that could have anything to do with it
