Windows updates

just installing all the latest win updates, and getting annoyed at the fact ill have to do it again when i next format (with a possible upgrade in the near future), so is there a way to backup all these updates now so i dont need to do them again?

just noticed this C:\686f0edc50e6759237 folder on my drive wen installing updates, would this be usful to backup???

got another issue with windows updates, in short... they clash with with HP photosmart 1315 printer on install, not that bad though since i can simply unplug then everythings fine, just want to know why this may be happening and if i can fix it?
