Windows Updates

My PC has the little yellow sheild with an exlamation mark in the middle, showing on the taskbar.
Ready to install a MS update!
It's a security update for XP service pack 3. I install it, it says it's done. I close the box, then two minutes later the shield appears again asking to install the same update..

Everytime I turn my PC off it asks for the update to be installed to my PC but again it thinks its installed. So I have these two events happening everyday on my PC.

Just will not install this update!

Any ideas?

You could try cleaning the WU cache.

Start > Run > cmd
net stop wuauserv

Then delete this folder: C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution

net start wuauserv

It will re-create the folder and check for updates again.
