Windows Vista 32 BIT and 4 GIGs of ram

Hi Guys
just a quick one. can vista 32 bit see 4 GIGS of ram ? or would i need the 64 bit version

:)
 
It's absolutely pointless enabling PAE in Vista. It's been abandonded by MS, because too many drivers want DMA access etc which PAE doesn't support.

Get Vista 64.

I thought that a 32bit system would only see 3.2 Gig's of ram but have the ability to use the full 4 Gig?

I'm probably wrong though. :p

32-bit can use 4GB of memory, however the graphics card, sound card, cache all use some of that 4GB so you never get to use 4GB of ram.

Yes, the available RAM would vary from system to system as all the components above would have to be subtracted from the 4GB first.
