windows vista additional ram software

not the most helpful of titles but I didnt know how else to explain it.

A friend of mine is running Visat with only a 1gig ram stick in his machine, he is also running a 2gb usb flash drive plugged into the back of his machine.

Now this piece of software uses the 2gb disk for virtual memory, so like it sees 3 gig of ram in total.

Or have I got this wrong completely, didnt understand it when he told me.

indeed, and it is nothing like having an extra 2gb RAM, the bandwidth of a USB pen is pathetic.

It will speed up the starting of apps to a degree, pen drives are cheap these days, but make sure its ready boost compatible. You are better off with more DDR ram tbh as that would improve gaming and switching apps

Considering how cheap RAM is these days, it's a bit pointless buying a ReadyBoost flash drive just for that purpose.
