I've ordered vista and a bunch of stuff, based around a e2180 as an interim PC build, and will be installing Vista on this setup.

If I then go for a q9450 and a new graphics card in a couple of months, it wont be all funny with me, will it?

I read a comment on a site saying he did a fresh install with different kit and it would activate and Microsoft wouldnt release a new code, nor would the supplier. Will that apply?

Its just the same as every other version of windows. If you get the retail version you can change anything you like. If its the OEM then you can change anything apart from the motherboard.
You may be asked to reactivate when installing something new on both versions, but it will activate.

Anything but the motherboard? Hmm, OK, I shouldn't need to do that.

Retail is about £200 compared to £60 for the OEM, so it'd warrant about 3 motherboards before going retail!

Thanks mate.
