Hi guys

Just noticed that when ever i switch the pc on on occasions (occuring more frequently now) when windows has loaded, there is a lot of lag with my mouse (stuttered movements) and the network connection isnt working.

I have to restart the pc once or twice for a normal load. does anyone know whats going on? its vista 64.

Thanks for your time/input

well if i was you i would ask for a copy of windows7 from Santa.

while you wait for father xmas to deliver you could try some cleaning tools. i would as i always do take a look at start up. 'ccleaner' has this or good old fashioned 'msconfig' in the start>run box. u really want to keep that to a minimal. i would also run the 'ccleaner' clean tool and run malwarebytes.

Also what happens when you boot in safe mode?

I had this once with SVCHOST processes eating 100% of my CPU / stopping the network connection on startup. Turned out to be conflicting Windows services from a badly installed Windows Update. Download process explorer from system internals and tell us what is hogging your CPU.

Does the Network and Sharing centre take an unusual amount of time to start up and display on screen?

+ Do what _Jimlad_ says too. Especially the Win7 bit. :D
