Windows Vista issues

Since a few days my computer has been really weird, like a few games do not work anymore and other stuff, I have avast so I'm pretty sure it is not viruses, but lately I've installed and uninstalled a few games so I was wondering if I should use one of those cleanup tool ?

Any advice or should I format?

Well a format should solve you problems but first you can try a cleanup tool which I doubt it would make any difference.

What about installing drivers again, and perhaps doing a windows repair for good measure?
