windows vista on multiple machines?

After a little advice, not sure were i stand with this or weather it would be conciderd against forum rules so i appologise before hand.
i have my main pc system with vista home premium installed on, i also have a HTPC running Windows xp media center edition. I would really like to put vista on to my HTPC but i dont know were i stand legaly, am i allowed to install the copy of vista i already own on my HTPC OR will i have to purchase a new copy of vista to avoid breaking the law?

Hello damian666, to run two copies of Windows Vista simultaneously, you will have to have two separate licenses.

Vista is only licensed (for home users anyway) on a per device basis, so you have to buy them individually.
