Company of Heroes and SupCom are most certainly not Vista only.
As far as I'm aware nor is Tomb Raider or FSX, and I'm not too sure on Lost Planet either.

EDIT: No, Lost Planet doesn't require Vista either.

halo 2 and shadowrun are the only "vista only" games on that list (unless you use the crack for halo 2 to make it work on xp)

has vista logo

Basically looking for all the games that have the above logo on the box.

Games for windows doesn't mean it's vista only, infact only 2 games you mentioned are vista only but they also work in xp with hacks...

Shadowrun and Halo 2...

But except that all those games u mentioned work fine in xp.

Games for windows are just games that bribed microsoft to put the games for windows seal on them and that pass a certain ammount of requirements like widescreen support, 360 pad compatibility, vista 32/64 bit compatibility and some other things.

while i hate stupid campaigns and what not, and stupid ideas and generally all marketing the games for windows. games that don't support widescreen straight off really peeve me off, games that wont' run under a 64bit version of windows properly get on my nerves. pad support is almost completely unimportant to me but some people like that and want that too.

ANY reason to push developers to not ignore basic things like supporting widescreen and to actually test on 64bit is actually an incredibly good thing and not at all rubbish.

we've had widescreen monitors for years, and 64 bit and the support for both hasn't been entirely stellar considering the time they've been about, pushing it forwards, so at least stuff works properly and i can open up a game and in the options easily change to the proper resolution, i can't see how thats a bad thing.

I agree, but there are a lot of games that do that that don't have the games for windows seal, I agree there should be some kind of system that games must comply to, but to get the games for windows seal is also abused for upping the price of games, games for windows here usually cost 5€ more...
There are games that support widescreen and 64 bit and don't have the seal, I don't have to pay extra for them do I?

What I meant with rubbish, was '' and some other unimportant stuff'', not meaning the previous is rubbish, but the unnamed stuff is rubbish, 64 bit support is something that imo is essential as using vista x64 myself, as is widescreen support, I did want to get a ws mon too, but in the end I just went for dual monitors...
So sorry if I didn't make myself clear, my english is still a bit bad, and I couldn't at that moment find any better way to say it...

Not so, most of the games there do not use DX10 but Halo 2 and Shadowrun have been modified to only work on Vista (without 3rd party tweaking).
