I've installed OEM Vista dozens of times and never used or needed the OPK. Just whack the DVD in and off you go If you were actually building systems for public distribution then I guess the OPK might be handy, but for home use? Na. Just install it like normal. You'll never know the difference. Or at least, I certainly didn't
The OPK is only needed if you are going to sell the machine on after install. And the 1.4GB file was only ticking along at 40k/sec when I downloaded it last week
