Just curious about how many processors people have running whilst in Vista just surfing the Internet or something. I remember in XP I only used to have like 20 but now it is like 52-53 average.

What is everyone else's processors like?

Am on Ultimate 64 Bit by the way.

*Processes. On idle nothing running I have about 48. Including Logitech Setpoint, RealTek HD Audio etc. No gadgets or anything, it's pretty clean.

If I disable one of my processor cores, I can run at 3.8 on air :D

Totally pointless though, unless I'm doing something that only uses one or two cores..

As for processes, been running just over 11 days now, 67 running on Win7 x64. 22 of which I can trace down the program responsible (not that I'd have that few when running 'idle', the number includes background processes for things like iTunes, and Kaspersky, etc)

On my main rig, 70 processes at idle. It's a lot, but I guess I may as well use all this top of the range hardware for something :D

Laptop is something like 48.
