Windows Vista says I dont have permission to delete folderrr

Due to a problem with my previous installation of Windows I had to install a temp copy onto one of my other hard drives in order to copy all the stuff off the corrupt one. I now have windows vista ultimate back on my primary hard drive and can now remove the folders that are from my temp install on my music hard drive.
The folders I want to remove are:
Windows
program files
program files x86

The error I get is "I need permission to perform this action"

I am the administrator and I have tried doing so from safemode but I cant get shot of them..

advise?

Sometime safe mode works or else fix Vista so you have a Context Menu with " Take Ownership Of this File" option.

Hold Shift and Right Click.
