Recently i have found that Windows Sidebar would sometimes take up a lot of my RAM and CPU, when clicking on task manager the cpu chart jumps a lot higher, and slows my pc down - very noticeable as well... anyone else experiencing this? and any solutions? i need to manually end the process and restart it for it to be fine again....

surely this isn't normal though is it? just randomly occurs... really was after a solution rather than just not using it....

Lower your number of gadgets. If you have 20 'flashy' things that are utterly useless, like, measuring your cpu usage, or HDD usage, then you will just have to live with it.

firstly i only have a few gadgets on the sidebar, i also have 2GB RAM,
there is definately noticeable slowdown (cpu usage jumps up and down like crazy), this is not normal of course. To be honest i think this is fair, and it might just be some bug with one of the gadgets or something. cheers for the help anyway. ;)

List your gadgets.

my sidebar spikes cpu usage (only on the 2nd core for some reason) when its updaing its RSS feeds, thats the only time i've noticed it at least :(
