Hi,

From my previous experience with the Windows Sound Recorder in XP it was possible to change a few settings such as the sampling frequency, etc. It appears Vista does not have such settings.

I have a requirement to use Windows Sound Recorder and need access to these settings. Is it possible to set them in some other way?

Else is it possible to use the Windows XP Sound Recorder? And if so, from where can this be downloaded?

Thank you.

Been looking into this more: How can I specify the frequency with the Vista version? And additional settings? I would like to record a mono .wav at a specified frequency.

I've found that it's possible to launch the sound recorder from the command line and force it to save as a wav but as of yet I do not know how to specify mono and frequency.

Thanks :).

Not sure as I don't have Vista :p Audacity will solve everything though ¬_¬

Would solve everything for me too but I'm having to find a solution for somebody else where the options are very restricted. None the less, I think they're happy enough with being able to save WAV and the options available in the link you gave in your first reply... So I guess that's good enough for me :p.

Thanks again.
