we all know Vista was not all that great, but stopping client updates for Vista a pretty simple Program seems odd specially when Steam/Orgin make no such mentions.

your thoughts?

With official support for Windows Vista soon to end, we have decided to end our support of this now legacy operating system. This will allow us to take advantage of newer technologies moving forward and ensure the highest possible security for our users.

Users currently using Windows Vista will still have access to their games; however, they will be unable to receive future Uplay PC client updates once support ends.

If you are one of the few still using Windows Vista, we strongly urge you upgrade to a newer, more secure version of Windows at your earliest convenience.

I mean it's a 10 year old and at this point unsupported OS. According to Steam survey, Vista makes up for 0.1% of the user base.

No issue with this at all. Nobody using Vista is going to be spending money on new games anyway, it's of no loss. They wouldn't be dropping support if it didn't make business sense to do so.

Steam still supports windows XP so it's unlikely that they'll end support for vista anytime soon.

Also wasn't support for XP killed of in Uplay shortly after general support ended.

Vista was such a poor operating system and especially with 7 being so good I presume most serious gamers jumped ship at this point.
