Windows Vista validation question

Hello.

Just a quick question - Ive installed Vista 32bit OEM, and I want to remove it. I havent validated it yet (and windows tells me I have 26 days to do so). BUT I installed an update (August DirectX update) which required a Windows Genuine Advantage validation. Can I delete this Vista off my hard drive, and sell it on?

If its still asking you to properly validate your copy of Vista, then you should be ok to uninstall and sell.

The Genuine Advantage just makes sure your copy is legit.

The terms of your OEM license state that you cannot resell it.

True, but i havent activated it yet. I understand that once activated, its locked to the system.

Nope, it's bound to the system once installed, whether activated or not.
