Heya.
Tried a mates copy of Vista and during install it stops and gives a 0x80070003 error but then thing is if I just try to reinstall it doesnt show any of my hard drives and when I restart system it just stays on the "Detecting IDE Drives" and wont detect them and if I shut system off then turn it back on it will detect them ???????
Its strange that Vista whilst unpacking files decides its not going to recognize the HDD's anymore ???
Anyone know whats going on ?
I have Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe 1.002
2GB DDR Memory 400mhz Dual Channel (DDR1)
7800GTX PCI-E
I tried it on a mates HDD that is crapping out and ended giving Crash Dump errors but when I try to do it on my drive I get nothing.
I done complete format of C: when I tried to install windows.
I decided to drag and drop all the files to D: and install from there once I got a fresh install of XP on my system then it got to 87% before it decided it wasnt going to detect my HDD.
I am seriously getting ****** because I dont have any backup drives I can transfer data to so I can format both partitions and dont have the money atm to buy a new one just to see if it will ever install again.
I know its a bit much to decipher but if anyone could help if they have had the same problems.
