Is there anyway to clear up the rubbish they pre-install? for instance i have Vista Business installed, it chucks a load of stuff in the programmes that i wont need I.E Windows Movie Maker, Windows Contacts, Windows calender.

Also is there any tweaking guides like there is with XP? to get rid of all the stuff that isnt really needed.

think you can use the add remove progs thing forgot what there calling it now in vista. Failing that theres something called Nlite, theres a beta for vista which will allow you to create a customized version of it with most of the bloat cut out although I'm not sure on the legality of it as it's in effect modifying the installation which could be a nono, so any mod's unhappy please edit my post.

It is perfectly Legal, all it does is remove the files from the CD before they get copied over (and edit folder list text doc, forgot what its called) it doesn't actually modify anything. Everything it does is perfectly legal.

This NLite programme is not like ghost then? in the sence of you do a fresh install, load up the OS, remove everything that you dont want then ghost a sort of image of the installation, then use that in the future?

I am to assume that NLite actually removes the files itself from the installation cd.

Also can anyone confim that it will work on vista?

It isn't. Have you read the EULA?

You also run the risk of hosing your Windows install any time you install a Windows update.
