windows will not activate

bought a legit copy of windows home premium on preorder

i install the 32 bit version the other day but it keeps giving me an error saying it cant activate and the code isnt legit but i know it is legit

what can i do?

Give MS a ring, they are free to ring.

Are you sure the code was typed correctly? You can skip it on install and put the code in later.

What service pack is it up to currently? I've had similar issues activating XP home until SP3 was applied, after SP3 installation activation went straight through.

Is the date/time set correctly in your machines BIOS? Can cause activation to fail if set incorrectly; it's happened to me.
