Windows wireless 360 controller?

If i purchased a 360 wireless controller for windows and a receiver would it work?

im assuming it would but im not clued on if they use a differant band frequency etc.

also is it worth it?

im mainly buying it for DMC4.

Why would they advertise it as a Windows Wireless controller and receiver, if it didn't work on Windows?

sorry i forgot to include i want to get it shipped from hong kong because its cheaper. just wondering if it would work on a EU system.
