just put a computer togeher for a friend. and when i came to boot (using an old hdd with win7 on it) it didnt boot just froze so i figered it may be corrupt etc so i whip out the win 7 disk changed all the boot prioroties and tryed to boot from disk the disk spins up and say press any key to boo from cd so i do and it just takes me to the windows 7 didnt boot propally (or somthing like that) it gives me two option run windows repair or start normally (but the key board wont respond and then it auto selects windows repair that says no problem is found and it is just an endless cycle) and somtimes when the disk spins and prss any key to boot i get a 0xc000000f error !!!

Are you saying that you've got a new build and your trying to get a pre-installed copy of win7 on an old hdd (assuiming from a different spec rig) - and your trying to boot the new system with this hdd?

If it is the above - then that's your issue. You need the win 7 disk.

If it's not that post back with more info.

yes it is that (im using his old hdd) but i have a windows 7 disk and it wont boot from it

There's a slight chance the original win7 install may be cauing problem.

Have you got the means to wipe the disk via another pc - or even a bootable usb/cd or another OS if win 7 wont let you?

Beaten to it.
