I can reinstall windows if it comes to it but id prefer not too, is their anyway to boot without the affected driver?
Also safe mode dosnt work, and booting with the last good settings seems to get it of the windows logo, but the computer then just restarts.

Have you tried getting in using safe mode? Tap F8 as your PC starts up and select safe mode. If you can just remove the driver and reboot. Make sure you unplug all USB drives, printers etc from the PC to see if that helps.

problem sorted, went for the re install windows option, which sucks but im back now. seems as though this is a bit of a problem, and as far as i have been able to tell it is to do with the intell drivers for the gigabit lan. And neither safe mode or start up repair worked :(
