So today I switched on my pc and got the Aorus logo but windows would not boot, I tried advanced option but windows would not recognise my password for some reason.

I changed my boot drive from my main Nvme drive to an SSD that also has windows and it boots no problem.

The system automatically skips my nvme drive and boots from the SSD.

I had a look on the gigabyte website and have noticed they have removed the F30h and F30j Bios could this be a bios problem or my nvme dead or has windows got corrupted

Not sure where to start any help would be appreciated

Go into bios and see if your NvME is listed as a UEFI boot device. If not it means you have lost your boot partition or your imagine process gone wrong.

suggestion is to plug your SSD back in and redo the imagining process or try a USB recovery disk.

It does show in the bios, I will try a fresh install.

Just seems wierd that it didn't boot, I have managed to back my stuff up. I just wanted to try all other options before wiping the drive and having to reinstall everything.

Any other ideas or suggestions on what I could try before starting fresh?

Is CSm on disabled? That's weird it would just crap out suddenly after you've been using it as your boot drive already with no issues
What brand is the Nvme drive?

Yes it disabled, it's a Samsung Evo 960

I only upgraded the board and cpu and other bits 2 weeks ago everything was fine. Just dead yesterday although it's still being picked up in the bios.

Not happy to be honest have to do everything from scratch again

Just a thought I updated my bios to F30j I think it was and it worked fine but looking on the Gigabyte website now it seems to have been taken off.

Couldn't be a bios problem could it?

I'm thinking if it was the bios the system would not boot and certainly not boot from the other ssd

you can always revert back if it doesn't work with the F30 bios. at least you have the Os on your other ssd
Did you try reseating the drive?

Not tried reseating it as it was being picked up fine, I will try the F30 bios let's see what happens

Your nvme drive shows up as a boot drive in bios? That’s when you are in the boot section of the drive and it shows “UEFI windows 10 Samsung 960” or something similar to that?

Did you clone SSD into NVmE? Or migrate it with the provided Samsung software?

If so. Boot into windows with the SSD and then repeats that process again. Be sure to unplug the SSD before booting up and go into bios and make sure that NvME is selected as the first bootable drive and disable all other bootable options such as USB LAN etc.

it really sounds like your migration process went wrong.

what motherboard is it btw?

I did not migrate anything this nvme has been a boot drive for the last 2 years. It just suddenly stopped booting

I had an ssd with Windows on it, when I boot from that I can get into windows

The motherboard is a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master
