Windows wont install

i can't get xp to install ive tryed 2 Harddrive 3 differnt dvd drives bot it just wont install.Somtimes it comes up missing file while its trying to install or i get the blue screen then it restarts[i have also tryed a couple of version of xp]

dodgy sticks of ram sometimes cause this. could be wrong

ive tryed with one stick but not sure with one now

Bad ram WILL stop windows installing big time.

Just go straight to http://www.memtest86.com/ and test it first.

Nothing worse than a corrupt install of windows.

ive got a free version of this how do you test the ram with it

Make floppy or CD, and boot to it.

It installed at the moment but its got this far before so ill just keep fiddling about with it at the moment and ill run that memotest tonight
