Windows won't pick up my built in network card

Hi. I've had to buy a new hard disk and have had to install XP Pro again after the last installation died on me. However windows will not automatically pic up my Network Card which is built into my EPOX 9NPA + Ultra motherboard. All that shows under the Network connections are my 2 Firewire ports. I have now tried to manually install the Card from the CD but as soon as you install the card device manager says 'Device cannot start (CODE 10)'. I've had a quick google and there appears to be no specific answer. Anyone got any ideas?

have u enabled it on the motherboards bios.

Have you installed the Nforce drivers ? I'm not 100% sure about your board but, it could be a NIC built into the chipset.

The NIC is built into the chipset and I have Nforce's Forceware 6.70 running I also have the NIC enabled in the BIOS. This getting really annoying as I can't network the machine at the moment!

Can you see the device, or something in ? Other Devices in device manager?

There's an option in the bios, pnp or plug and play OS. Make sure that is ticked as yes or it won't pick up any hardware.
