Windows Xp 64 Shutdown

Anybody else had problems with WinXP 64 shutdown not turning off the PC
and hanging at a black screen regardless from a fresh install to having all the hardware driver installed.

check you have chosen shutdown rather than sleep mode

Yep

checked that thanks.

I also checked the setup for the power button was also set to shutdown but it
even hangs when i press the power button.Software wise Windows shuts down but it doesn't shutdown the power supply.
