Hi guys, i have just noticed something annoying.

I am set up as the only user on my laptop and i use a logon password, now normally (up to yesterday) i turn the laptop on, i get to the logon screen and the password box is there with the cursor blinking ready for the password.

But now i turn on, i just get my little picture, my name and how many emails i have, so i have to click it, and then enter my password. If that makes sense.

Quite annoying, does anyone have an idea how to clear it?

Thanks :)

You need to disable the welcome screen.

Aha, i know what you mean.....but.

I was using the welcome screen before and the password box next to my picture would be open ready to accept the password which is why i am confused.

Ah, I see. Its because (I presume) that an update had put an Aspnet account on your computer, but I don't know how you can fix the problem.

I think were on the same wavelength here, i thought this was a .net thing, thanks for your input.

If it is because .net is appearing on the welcome screen, you can use TweakUI to stop it appearing, which would solve your problem.

Nope, doesn't work. The registry hack doesn't work either.

Hmm I have the .net framework installed and it used to work? I wouldn't know if it still does as I have it set to log in automatically on my home machine.
