Yes That's exactly what to do. When you install Acronis it gives you the option to create abootable CD. You boot from that, browse to where your image is stored and restore. Simple as.can someone explain how it works? i cant seem to find clear info last time i tried.
imagine i have an image of my disk in perfect condition. the next day its all got bugged with viruses, hiv, etc.. how do i format my disk and restore the image? do i boot into some cd version and select the image from another source or something?![]()
Thanks very much - Acronis True Image looks just the ticket!
I'm looking to create a copy of disk from a Dell Inspiron laptop. The disk is configured as follows:
Partition 1 - FAT (system diagnostics)
Partition 2 - FAT32 (Norton Ghost system restore image)
Partition 3 - NTFS (Windows XP)
Will this application cope with the above?
Why would you need to buy Acronis when you have Norton Ghost already?!![]()
