Windows XP, just died?

Basically everything was fine last night, I rebooted and now none of the programs load up, none of the programs I have installed load at all, they go to load and nothing happens. If I run something lik Orthos or Super-pi it will load, so I'm guessing it's a problem with the installed programs not loading.

You may have some system file errors or corrupted disk locations. Try running a chkdsk either from the user interface or from a command line.

Run both the disk scan and repair system files. This may take some time.

This has happened to me several times and i have sorted it by booting with my xp disc then going into "Repair" and running "chkdsk /r"

Yeah as the above posts, run a checkdisc (chkdsk /r) and that should sort it, may take quite a while though even on your system!!
