Windows XP language change

Bit of an odd one so stay with me

I have just finished re-installing XP on a friend's laptop after her hdd died a death. Unfortunately I used the Swedish disks instead of the Finnish disks. How do I swap it over to Finnish without a full re-install?

(I speak neither of the languages so this has been an excellent memory test from the last install of XP I did about 2 years ago

control panel, regional options

use google images to help you get the right icons

^ that won't actually change the language used on the windows interface though. a full re-install with the correct disk is needed.

oh, how do people install things like the 'welsh' language packs..?

i don't know, never tried, just assumed it'd be in there

Well it's the full re-install for me then - LOL at the Welsh above - I don't speak Finnish, but at least I can make a guess - they,at least, believe in vowels and words that don't require full body spitting to pronounce!

If Wales has a population of 3million+ and Finland 5million+, I'd guess there is a language pack for Finland on there somewhere. Happy hunting!

yeah, I can't imagine even 1% of the 3 million having the welsh pack installed..

everyone in Finland speaks Finnish, perkele!
