Windows XP MCE 2005... German Edition!

So my mate works at Rare and he can get me an MCE Licence for uber cheap which I need for my new HTPC. But here's the catch... he can only get the German edition! If I can some how acquire the English install CD's, will the German CD-key work with it?

cant you choose the language as with standard xp during the install process?

I can't recall seeing language selection anywhere during XP install...? Just need to know if the key would work really, as that would be the easiest option

You choose the language during the xp install.

surely if it's the german edition then all the gui will be in german? for example during setup, that dialog box above will all be german too. and as for an english key working on german edition, i doubt it.....

That language choice thing is input language, not interface language.

Also, if it's uber cheap, it's also likely to be uber illegal.

No, it's a perfectly legal version. He works at Rare and he gets a big discount through the Microsoft employee scheme thingy (they own Rare). But for some reason the only version available is the German one?! Just one of those mysteries...
