Windows Xp MCE Shared drive problems

Hi for some reason when i share one of my drives on the network it says it is sharing it but does not actually show up in my network places on other computers, I think this is due to it having a strange # suffix after the drive letter which i believe hides the drive, It won't let me change this though, Does anyone have any idea's?

A drive having a $ suffix after its name will be hidden from showing up in network neigbourhood, but will still be accessible. Most drives are shared by default, using a $ suffix after them for admin purposes. I believe you can just override the default share with a new one, that is not hidden, in the usual way of sharing a folder.
