Windows XP mode

Has anyone used the Windows XP mode feature in Windows 7?

As I have put off my SB build because of the faulty chipset issue, I have been looking into the different versions of Windows 7.

I have some programs that will not run in Windows 7 64-bit. So I was wondering what the XP mode feature in Professional & Ultimate was like.

My other option would be to have both Win 7 and Win XP installed in a dual boot.

I've seen Ultimate for only a few pounds more than Professional. Umm..

Question regarding VirtualBox.

If I had a copy of Win XP how would running it in VirtualBox compare to using Win 7 XP mode? (Cost issues aside).

It is a step by step process in VB, then once it kicks off it is no different to any other XP install.

Thanks for the link, will have a read of that later. Hopefully I will get a better understanding of how to setup/use XP in virtual mode.
