Hi guys,

I dug out an old xp netbook that I wanted to use and have the following problem... when it starts I get:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

\Windows\System32\Config\System

When I go into XPs repair feature I get told that setup can't find any hard disk drives installed… Interestingly, I can see the hd in both the bios and when I boot into apps like slax etc

Any ideas?

Cheers!

I reckon I'm going to need a windows cd with the integrated sata drivers for the netbook...

I've never had any luck using nlite to do this, is it still the best way? The sata drivers for the netbook are 20 meg but nlite only seems to integrate the .inf file? It's in the same folder as the rest of the driver's files - does it automatically add the rest of the files? Is there a way of checking or anything
