I am trying to figure out how to get windows xp on one of these stupid acer one netbooks.

I did one once that came with linux, so I put the cd into a windows machine, and used the utility to create a bootable USB drive with LINUX on it.
Once finished, told the acer one to boot from usbhdd and there we go job done.

Although I cannot figure out how to get windows xp on it, remembering these units do not come with a internal hard drive, nor do I have a USB DVD drive to hand.

I do have a recovery disk, actually it comes with 3. but its not bootable, nor does it come up with anything useful once you run it in windows either

Anyone else had any experience with these before ?

Thanks

Yea, I was going to put xp onto a flash drive and make it bootable myself, but it came with recovery CD's, I was wondering as to why they do not have an option to make it bootable and write windows to it, itself.

In the end, I located a USB CD drive and installed it that way, saved a bit of bother in the end :)
