We are currently using Windows 2000 on all machines on our domain.
We are looking at moving to XP Pro.
How does the Windows XP Pro firewall cope in this situation.
The reason I ask is that we regularly install software accross the network as all as drop files in to their admin shares C$, D$ etc.
At the moment we are having to disable the firewall to allow this access, but this is not very feasible for each time we wanna access the machines accross the network.
How do we make it work so the firewall is on, but admins can connect to the default admin shares?
