Hey all, I have been trying to reformat my m8s machine with little luck.

Durning the install it keeps saying it cant find such and such file, anf this happens a lot. I have 5 different CDs with XP Pro on them and its happening to them all.

I only got as far as Saving Setting of the installer before it froze on me. Never seen this happen before, anyone got any clues?
 
Can you try a different CD/DVD Drive? If you have tried different disks, its more likely to be that. I had an unstable machine which would do the same too (RAM was at stock instead of 2.1 for the tighter timings). If its overclocked, set it to stock.
 
its one of them simpe Packard Bell machines all at stock. Its only used for web surfing and thats it.

Going to try my sata drive to see if it works any better
