Hi All,

Been having some problems lately with a bunch of pcs we have in our office where the desktop notifier and gold envelope icon in the system tray dont show up when users recieve new emails.

Out of the box (at least in our packaged version) Outlook 2010 seems to have these settings turned on by default which is what we want.

Has anyone else come across any issues like this at all and if so, did you manage to find a fix?

As far as I am aware this should work fine, I cant find anything from research that shows this is incompatible or anything like that.

not seen the issue, however

are you using small icons? if so change to large .
has someone changed the settings in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons
are they simply being hidden? - Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons - tick the box at the bottom

I shall double check those settings when I get back into the office edscdk, I cant say for sure they havant been changed.

That could explain the sys tray icon issue, but the notifier issue is still puzzling, as in the one that appears above the system tray then fades away.
