Hi all

I have a few machines where the start run button has stopped working.

When I Click the button is says "Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?"

Does anyone no the what the default registry settings are for the start run command or how to fix this?

I dont have the option to do a system restore.

Thanks all

Why does that sound more like a key or mouse button is stuck?

Any other problems you're experiencing?

You mention "a few machines". Was there a group policy that was recently pushed disabling that feature? Who's the admin?

Not the problem. A whole bunch of mice havent broke on the same day. lol

No just that start run doesn't work.

Checked and no group policys for this sort of thing.

It would appear a upgrade to the cad software caused the issue however uninstalling the software fix it. It would seem that something got written over to cause this.

I dont have the option to do a system restore.
