Brilliant!!

Organisation all over the world are now saving money by not upgrading. For those who've already made the massive investment to upgrade are themselves for it!!

Yeah lol, thank god the NHS haven't gone and given Microsoft like £5 million for suppor- oh... lol

haha - public sector will always be the worst. They need that security (or do they? keeps getting lost on trains). I know my place is going through a Win 7 migration project which has taken a lot of time & resource.

I find it amazing that the purple shirt brigade are trying like mad to push W8 on people at the moment, then they take them to their XP terminal to process the sale XD

Temping to try it out with one or two customer machines, even if it only works for a month or two. Stubborn gits won't move no matter what we tell them, they just reply it costs too much to change and they like XP so at least this would keep them a bit protected.

Dangerous

Embedded doesn't work the same way as normal XP. Better off using very strict firewall rules and a non admin user account if you must stick with XP.

i'd rather they spend the money on a properly supported product. no one in their right mind would try this hack on a mission critical enterprise network. trying to fool the update servers into thinking your machines are running a different OS is plain stupid.

If each site is not running a security firewall at POE that would be mad or just a plain lazy site administrator
