Windows XP to Windows 8

Looking to be doing a new build soon based around a 3570K, Z77, 7850 and an SSD. Would I be able to buy an OEM copy of Windows XP to install first, then run the Windows 8 Upgrade after?

yes, any older version of windows will allow you to use the upgrade.
