I'm having a weird problem with windows xp user profile. I've got a user with a laptop who has a roaming profile (the profile is stored on our file server). When the user is connected to the office network he can move/delete files in the My Docments folder and when he logs out the changes are synced with the file server as expeced. But if he makes any changes within the My Documents folder while at home (not connected to the office network using the cached copy of his profile on the laptop), comes back into the office and logs on then for some reason all changes what he made at home are lost (the copy of his profile on the file server seems to take priority).
I have tried to re-create the problem on another pc but can't. Whenever I make any changes to a profile while not connected to the network are still there when I log in after plugging in the network cable.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
