Windows XP - White 'bits' at the top of a page

Hi,

This may sound like a minor question but when I open a program, like Task Manager I get white around the words at the top of the screen - under words like "File", "Edit" in the menus at the top. See the picture.

It appears in all windows applications at the menu bar along the top. How do I get rid of this?

I almost looks like you have your colour setting set too low. The blue bar at the top of the window looks really ropey too. Try increasing your colours.

Well, from the looks of your wallpaper as well....are you running in 16bit colour? Should be 32bit.

Hi,

The image is of low quality. The colours on the wallpaper don't look like that. Ignore everything else - just look at the white writing around the words like "File".
