Hi, x64 yesterday and for some reason its completely unstable, random BSOD.

It seems to help if I reduce the overclock but I'm having to drop allot just to get it stable

This system is using a X2 3800+ which in XPSP2 I run at 2750Mhz but in x64 Edition I have to drop to lower then 2600Mhz which it does at stock volts? But BSOD are usualy the result of memory but that is underclocked anyway since the POS A8N can't do high FSB's .

Any suggestions? Obviously I'm not going to sacrifice any performance just to install it.

BSODs are usually caused by a buggy driver (and most drivers still are on the x64 platform...), or like you say a hardware/overclock problem.

Upload the BSOD Minidumps from C:\Windows\Minidump to somewhere and I'll take a look to see what's causing it.

Nevermind, I've already reinstalled SP2, don't see any point continuing with x64 if I have to reduce performance. The 64bit support for games just isn’t good enough to warrant it.

Thanks for the help but I think I’ll wait for vista.
